Happy One Piece Day! Here's an Excerpt from Chapter 6 of the Emerald-Eyed Dragon to celebrate!

"Intent, visualisation, trust..." Harry thought, guiding himself through each of the steps before with a small flourish and a quiet whisper of Reparo, Harry watched as his robes stitched themselves together seamlessly.

"Yes!" Harry cheered at finally succeeding at the Reparo spell and fixing his robes only to realise...he was still in Transfiguration class.

"And what exactly is it that you are cheering Mr. Potter because from where I am standing, that still very much so resembles a matchstick on your desk." The stern voice of Head-Teacher McGonagall cut his cheer short and managed to get a few chuckles and snorts from some of the other students.

"Eh, understanding the meaning of life?" Harry tried to weasel his way of the situation whilst the actual Weasley was currently sat beside him holding in the mother of all belly laughs.

"Not. Funny Mr. Potter, your father tried the same line once and I assure you it didn't work then and it won't work now." Head-Teacher McGonagall glared, the pressure in the room mounting causing Harry to gulp.

"I believe we are due for either a demonstration or a detention." Professor McGonagall said simply. "You will either showcase your skill and that you were paying attention instead of disrupting my class or else you will be joining Mr. Longbottom and Mr. Finnigan in detention later."

Tonks looked betrayed all over again her hair not knowing whether to settle on red, blue or pink whilst Hermione looked worried as if watching a slow moving car crash.

Harry wanted to yell but he knew that would just get him a guaranteed detention after this morning so it was a reluctant Harry who decided instead to focus on the realisation he'd had whilst doing the Reparo spell: Haki and Magic WERE the same bloody thing, Haki was just way more condensed but the rules to shape it and train it were almost certainly the same and it was with this realisation that Harry pointed his Adam wood and Occamy heartstring wand at the matchstick and attempted the transfiguration.

"...Well Mr. Potter, it seems you inherited more from your father than just his looks, 10 points to Gryffindor for a successful first transfiguration." A slightly smiling Minerva McGonagall said as she and Harry stared at the simple needle sitting on the desk in front of her before the smile vanished as she turned to help the rest of the students.
